Lockwood and Jordan Join Tomcat UK

Patrick Lockwood and Paul Jordan have joined the TOMCAT UK team.

The impact of this new team will be that TOMCAT UK will be able to offer a much wider range of services to customers which include technical appraisal, site surveys, theatrical installations and also the supply of industrial lifting and mechanical handling equipment and structures, which will be dealt with through the company's Lifting and Handling Solutions Division based at Bromborough.

Lockwood, who joins TOMCAT UK as a sales engineer, first started in the industry as a welder for James Thomas Engineering in 1990. Working his way through the company, Lockwood ran the welding shop for approximately two years. With his vast knowledge and experience of truss and the fact that he was adept at CAD he was soon moved to the design department. Meeting with clients and educating them on how to use the product eventually lead him into sales. Drawing on his fabrication, technical and design background, Lockwood then moved into project management where he took on managing various projects from start to finish.

Jordan comes to TOMCAT UK from the industrial lifting equipment industry with an extensive background in the industrial and entertainment lifting industry, with companies such as Chadburns, The Rossendale Group, and Bridgehouse. Jordan, even worked on secondment to Airbus UK, as the material handling specialist, in the east side project team on the A380 long range passenger aircraft project, at their Chester site. During his time at Bridgehouse, as technical director, Jordan oversaw the sales department as well as heading the technical department, working in both the industrial and entertainment business sectors of the lifting trade simultaneously.

As technical manager for TOMCAT UK, Jordan will be providing the UK with the technical services normally provided by TOMCAT USA, whilst also assisting Tony Dickson, Sales Manager, and Patrick Lockwood with the development of both the entertainment and industrial marketplace, introducing new ranges of industrial lifting fabrications in the coming months to compliment the existing range of equipment.
