LDI Exhibitors Unify to Support Trade Show Success

Commented Jackie Tien, Publisher of Lighting Dimensions and Entertainment Design: "On behalf of all of us at LDI, Lighting Dimensions, and Entertainment Design, we want to express our thanks and appreciation for all of the support that has been pouring in from exhibitors and attendees alike. As always, we encourage any LDI exhibitor or visitor to contact any of us anytime. We look forward to seeing all of our friends and colleagues in Orlando."

Major manufacturers across the entertainment-technology field are gearing up for this year’s LDI tradeshow in Orlando in a strong display of industry solidarity. Responding to a call by ETC CEO Fred Foster, manufacturers across the spectrum of entertainment technology have confirmed that they are following through fully with plans to exhibit at LDI 2001. So many exhibitors have voiced their resolve that a separate Web site link has been established to showcase their responses. Not only will companies be at LDI, many have reported that they will indeed be expanding their presence this year. A.C. Lighting, Arriflex Corporation, Bandit Lites, Color Kinetics, Le Maitre Special Effects, Martin, Tracoman, and Vari-Lite are among those who announce that they have planned for their largest showing at LDI to date.

LDI 2001 exhibitors are promising to dazzle tradeshow goers with an unprecedented display of technological innovation. The list of companies slated to unveil brand-new products this year is long, including A.C.T Enterprises, ALM, Artistic Licence, ATM Group, Cinema Xenon, Creative Stage Lighting, Electronics Diversified, Enliten, ETC, GAMProducts, Gobo Express, Goddard Design, Group One, High End, ICP, Mad Manufacturing, MDG Fog Generators, Navigator Systems, Neutrik, Phoebus Lighting, Rane, R&M Materials Handling, Rosco, Selecon, Soundlight, SSP Group, Videssence, among numerous others.

Show goers are travelling far to see those new wares at LDI. “LDI has proven to be the best place to reach an international audience,” affirms Eckart Steffens of Soundlight. “Contacts from Australia, Brazil, and Norway have already made appointments for visiting our booth at showtime, which means the international audience will be there.”

As always, many exhibitors, such as Leviton and Rosco, are also using LDI as a forum for connecting with their dealers and clients in national sales meetings and elaborate training events.

Nor have LDI exhibitors pulled back on their usual spirit of spectacle and entertainment: Doug Fleenor Design’s booth will double ingeniously as a life-sized mirrored maze, Goddard Design is doing something creative with fish (?), and Lex Products are bringing a two-hole putting course to their booth. In addition, traditional entertainment activities including ESTA’s Annual Dinner (the largest ever), the annual TMB/Wybron/ETC/Barbizon fishing tournament, and numerous customer parties are slated to go on fully as well.

Summarizing the attitude of the exhibitor group, Alan Crawshaw, president of A.C.T. Enterprises, Inc. says, “We’ll be there because there is no better forum for demonstrating the creative, innovative and inventive talent that this industry has to offer. From our perspective, participation in our industry’s tradeshows will demonstrate our resolve, strength and vitality that represent us as an industry, as a people and as a nation. We hope to see you in Orlando!”
