Larry Kellermann Fund Established at Tisch

To pay homage to PRG's Larry Kellermann, a fund in his memory has been established at NYU. The Larry Kellermann Fund for Lighting Design Students and Equipment was set up in the Department of Design for Stage and Film at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Donations to this fund will be used to support the education, travel, and equipment needs of lighting design students in the program.

Kellermann, who died August 11th, was the director of PRG's Permanent Installation Group and oversaw the development and installation of entertainment technology solutions for a wide range of markets throughout the US. He was a lighting industry veteran whose career began in the early part of the 1950s when he worked at Century Lighting, a precursor to Strand Lighting, of which he was named CEO in 1973. In 1974, he opened his own rep firm and, over the next two decades, worked on over 600 Broadway shows, as well as a number of television projects.

All contributions should be sent directly to the Department of Design for Stage and Film, 721 Broadway, Room 331, New York, NY 10003. Checks should be made payable to Tisch School of the Arts, clearly noting that they are in honor of Larry Kellermann.
