Kyle Chepulis Opens Tribeca Lighting

Filling a niche left by the closing of Big Apple Lights, Kyle Chepulis has opened a new downtown NYC lighting shop, Tribeca Lighting at 511 Canal Street, sharing a storefront location with Lites On West Soho (architectural lighting supplier). Tribeca Lighting brings full service theatrical lighting rental and sales back to lower Manhattan. "We believe that a thriving local arts community needs and deserves local resources," says Chepluis. "Tribeca Lighting is dedicated to supporting and being a part of our community."

Tribeca Lighting is a new shop of actively working designers and technicians started by Chepulis (also president of Technical Artistry) with Eva Pinney handling day-to-day operations and Brian Aldous as technical advisor. This dedicated team is available to provide a range of affordable solutions to any and every lighting situation, with an extensive on site stock and the ability to locate unique or custom items. Tribeca Lighting understands the demands of working in New York City and provides a wide range of services to meet the needs of lighting theatrical venues, productions, events and architectural spaces.

Tribeca Lighting is fully stocked to meet the designer's lighting needs, both standard and special order, in terms of sales and rentals. Small items can be picked up at the Canal Street location while larger rentals can be picked up or trucked directly to the venue. Tribeca Lighting also provides service calls and phone support for theatrical control and dimming systems, and color cutting services.
