Bob Keegan has joined Vari-Lite’s rental division as account manager, to increase the company’s presence in the exposition, meeting, planning, special events, film, television, theatre, amusement, and church industries in the Chicago market.
Keegan, who has more than 15 years of experience working in the planning and execution of trade shows and other major events, most recently served as manager of US operations for Feelini USA Inc., but he gained much of his experience as a manager of trade show operations with Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. and as show manager/sales manager with Blenheim Expositions and Miller Freeman Expositions, Inc. His experience included leading and directing trade show operations staff, handling the sale of $4 million worth of exhibition space on an annual basis, coordinating worldwide corporate trade shows, developing strategic marketing programs, working with several important industry partners, and strengthening exhibitor loyalty through his attention to extensive customer-service activities.
