K-12 and University Conference Launches at InfoComm

FAIRFAX, VA--- The International Communications Industries Association, Inc. (ICIA) and Professional Media Group LLC, the publisher of District Administration and University Business magazines, have announced the launch of EduComm, a new conference for buyers of AV communications and presentation systems in the education market. EduComm will be held in conjunction with InfoComm 2004 the week of June 5-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

"Education is an emerging growth market for AV and presentation technologies," said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director of ICIA. "Through this exciting collaboration with Professional Media Group, we are now in a position to help our members reach education buyers more effectively."

The new EduComm Conference will run June 9-11 in conjunction with InfoComm and is specially designed to meet the needs of K-12 and Higher Education leaders. A full slate of sessions is planned in two tracks-one for Higher Education and one for K-12-to help education technology professionals bring the benefits of the convergence of AV, IT, and multimedia to their schools and campuses.

"Co-locating the EduComm Conference with InfoComm 2004 gives education leaders the best of both worlds-they get two and one-half days of conference sessions targeted to their technology needs, and they get access to the InfoComm exhibits where they can see the latest products in action," said Joseph J. Hanson, Chairman of Professional Media Group.

To help promote InfoComm and the conference, District Administration and University Business are also producing special InfoComm Pre-show custom publications that will mail with their April 2004 issues.

Together, District Administration (75,000+ circulation) and University Business (45,000+ circulation) reach the senior technology and executive leaders in every K-12 School District and Institution of Higher Education in the United States. ICIA sees the supplements as an important opportunity for AV companies to help K-12 and Higher Education leaders integrate presentation technologies into the education setting.
