James Thomas Engineering Is Expanding

James Thomas Engineering, Inc., a manufacturer of structural aluminum trussing, support systems, and lighting fixtures, recently announced the construction of a new, enlarged facility in Knoxville, TN.

The 60,000 sq. ft. facility is located on a 6.28-acre site. It is designed to hold the company’s manufacturing, administrative, sales, design, and production offices. James Thomas’ Mike Garl explained that the move is due to a steady increase in business and is intended to consolidate and further increase the company’s efficiency.

The company’s UK operation also recently relocated to a new facility. In the summer of 2000, the operation moved into a new, high-tech facility in central Worcester, in the heart of the Midlands.

The Knoxville facility is scheduled to be operational this October.
