InFocus Introduces High-Performance Projector Innovations

Continuing its leadership in delivering innovative projection solutions, InFocus® Corporation (Nasdaq:INFS) (OSE: IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection technology and services, announced recently the introduction of new wireless-ready, high-performance installation projectors that combine powerful projection, easy installation and versatile options. The InFocus LP840 offers the exceptional quality and ease-of-use features that are unique to InFocus products; while the InFocus LP850 brings a new class of performance and power to the family of products.

The first projector of the new family of installation and integration projectors, the LP820, was introduced and made available earlier this summer and marked the first new meeting room projector to support LiteShow®, the secure wireless digital projection solution. LiteShow features menus designed with the end user in mind that simplify both setup and daily use. Once installed, users can securely project their ideas from PCs anywhere in the room on a shared projector for either individual or collaborative interactive presentations.

In addition to wireless capability, simple menus, remote controls and user-friendly keypads, the new LP840 and LP850 projectors also represent a new level of confidence for users of projection. Called "Projectability" by InFocus, these easy-to-use elements will continue to be an integral part of the company's plans for the future members of the family of projectors.

"InFocus continues its legacy of providing innovative projection solutions to our customers and partners with the introduction of the new high-performance installation projectors. The LP840 and LP850 projectors include the latest technology and innovative ease-of-use features, making them an essential tool for today's business environments and higher education settings," said Kyle Ranson, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing at InFocus Corporation.

The new LP840 and LP850 are perfectly suited for integrated boardrooms, larger meeting and training settings and even large auditoriums. They include motorized zoom, focus and lens shift to accommodate all room sizes and configurations, with four optional user-replaceable bayonet lenses that can be changed without special tools or training. A 36 dB whisper mode reduces audible noise in smaller venues. They also feature the brightest maximum ANSI lumens of any InFocus projectors, with the LP840 projecting at 3500 lumens, and the LP850 projecting 4500 lumens.

Both models are also compatible with ProjectorNet, InFocus' client/server-based networking solution designed to allow IT and facilities personnel to manage multiple projectors from a single PC. ProjectorNet gives corporations, universities and other organizations the power to manage and improve their projector ROI just as they would other shared computing and communication assets such as PCs and printers by minimizing theft, maximizing usage time and improving proactive maintenance.
