Kévin Thompson of The Whitlock Group, and Jay Rogina of Spinitar, were elected to serve terms as Governors-at-Large. Randy Klein of Crestron Electronics, Inc., Russell Gentner of Listen Technologies Corporation and Merry McCleary of BC Group, LLC, continue their Governor-at-Large terms into 2004.
As of Jan. 1, 2004 Harald Thiel, CTS, AVW-TELAV Audio Visual Solutions, will ascend to Chairman of the Board, Scott Walker, CTS-D, Waveguide Communications becomes President, and Tom Peters, CTS, AVWashington, is designated President-Elect. The following three committee chairs have been appointed to begin their terms January 1, 2004: Blake Brubaker, CTS, of Da-Lite Screen Company, Inc., as Chair of the Exhibitors Committee; Jay Armand of Advanced Audio Visual Inc., as Chair of ICIA's Membership Committee and Mike Weems, CTS, MCP, of InFocus Corporation, as Chair of the Professional Education and Training Committee (PETC).
The elections, which concluded November 11, also encompassed nine councils and the office of Secretary-Treasurer. For the councils, re-elected were:
* Ken Colson, E.D.A. Marketing, Inc., for the Independent Representatives Council;
* Don Guzauckas, Jr., CTS, HB Group, for the Rentals and Staging Council;
* Brian Pipe, ITM Group LTD for the International Council.
Newly elected council chairs were:
* Robert Befus of Presentations Strategies., for the Presentations Council;
* Joe Bocchiaro III, CTS-D, Electro-Media Design Ltd., for the Independent Consultants in AV Technologies (ICAT) Council;
* Lee Dodson, Extron Electronics, for the Manufacturers Council;
* John Pfleiderer, CTS-D, Cornell University, for the End Users Council;
* Matt Rubenstein of D-Tools Inc., for the Information Technology Council;
* Jim Smith of HB Communications for the Sound, Audiovisual and Video Integrators Council.
All council and committee chairs join the officers as members of the ICIA Board of Governors.

Randy Pagnan, ICIA's new Secretary-Treasurer, has a career spanning 20 years in the A/V industry. Pagnan is considered a pioneer of video projected images and is recognized as a leading expert in projection display applications. Based in Southern California, Mr. Pagnan is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Large Screen Displays, of which he is a part-owner. Through his extensive experience in projection manufacturing and the sales process, Pagnan has driven the growth and reputation of Large Screen Displays as an innovative, service-oriented organization focused on Customer satisfaction. Prior to his role at Large Screen Displays, Mr. Pagnan was Vice-President, Worldwide Sales, for Christie Digital Systems (formerly Electrohome Projection Systems) and held key management positions with major audiovisual systems integrators and resellers in the United States.
For the past four years, Mr. Pagnan served as chair of the ICIA Manufacturers Council. During his tenure, the council launched the popular First-Timers Tour of InfoComm. Mr. Pagnan has also been a co-chair of the Design School Committee as well an instructor at the Design School.
With over twenty-four years of experience in the video industry, Kévin Thompson, elected Governor-at-Large, has been instrumental in the development of integrated media technologies at The Whitlock Group, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Thompson has served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association of Broadcasters, as Chairman of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) Chapter 54, is an invited member of the elite Panasonic dealer panel and was the first representative from a distributor company to ever speak at the Sony Corporation national sales meeting. As President of The Whitlock Group broadcast & presentation solutions, Thompson manages the strategic business plans for the company's eighteen offices.
Jay Rogina, also elected Governor-at-Large, is Chief Executive Officer at Spinitar, located in Santa Fe Springs, California. Mr. Rogina has over 25 years of diverse managerial and technical experience in the support of customers at various top electronic firms. His technical positions and responsibilities have included: engineering, product development, project management, installation and field service. All management positions held were in the area of technical services for both small and large corporations. Other positions he has held have been in engineering, project management, installation and field services.
