Hog 500 Now Supports 1,024 Channels

Flying Pig Systems'

Hog® 500 lighting console now supports 1,024 DMX channels – up from its previous 500 channel capacity. Hog 500 users may easily upgrade their consoles by downloading free software from the www.flyingpig.com website.

Flying Pig Systems product manager Richard Mead says this member of the Wholehog® II family was in need of the upgrade. “Today, 500 channels often isn't enough,” Mead explains. “But having 1,024 channels works well for almost any nightclub or small lighting application.”

Hog 500 runs on the power of the Wholehog II operating system and – like all the products in the family – it controls all brands of moving lights including fixtures not just from High End Systems but also Vari-Lite, Martin, Clay Paky, and others. Hog 500 includes many of Wholehog IIs most powerful features, including Effects Engine™ playback and 3D positional programming. The natural programming interface makes programming simple and intuitive. Designers and programmers familiar with the Wholehog II operating system will be instantly comfortable using this board.
