Herbert Senn Dies; Set Designer Was 78

Set designer Herbert Senn died yesterday, the Cape Cod Times has reported. The cause was liver cancer. He was 78.

With his close friend and co-designer Helen Pond, Senn worked extensively in theatre, dance, and opera. Among their credits were the Broadway shows What Makes Sammy Run? (1964), the 1983 revival of Show Boat, and Oh, Coward! (1986).
