Group One To Handle Trantec In US

Farmingdale, NY-based Group One has been named US distributor for UK manufacturer and RF specialist Trantec. In addition, France-based Best Audio has taken on the company's product line in that country as well. Both companies will handle Trantec’s entire portfolio of radio products.

Trantec complements Group One’s existing portfolio of audio products, which includes Celestion, MC2, Optocore and XTA. Group One’s appointment follows shortly after Trantec’s miniature radio microphone system--the S6000--made its mark in the US by being named one of the five Entertainment Design Sound Products of the Year shortly after its introduction to the marketplace.

Group One’s Tom Bensen says, "We’re thrilled to have been appointed to handle the US distribution for the Trantec range. The company is recognized for innovation and pushing the boundaries of technical achievement.

"The S6000 is really exceptional and has already been positively received by designers and rental companies," he continues. "The three main theatrical hire companies have expressed their desire to use the system on some major up coming productions, both on Broadway and on National tours.”

As the exclusive representative for Meyer in France, Best Audio is well placed to augment Trantec’s market share across theatre, broadcast and a plethora of leisure applications in that country.

Says Best Audio’s Sebastien Nicolas: “There is huge potential for Trantec’s range in France. At the recent SIEL show staged in Paris, the positive feedback from hire companies and installers was staggering and bodes well for the future.”

Trantec’s managing director, Sho Kubo adds: “We are confident that the appointment Group One and Best Audio will open new country markets for us and help us develop even further our product range. Underlining that Trantec is looking to compete and win market share, through developing initiative, advanced and cost effective audio equipment making us the true choice of professionals.”
