Greg Beck to Direct Harvard Design Course

Architect Gregory Beck AIA will lead a course in Entertainment Design in the professional development program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design from July 25-27, 2001. This will be the third summer that Beck organizes such a course, whose goal is to blend architecture, media technology, and narrative with entertainment design.

The three-day seminar focuses on the impact of entertainment design on retail, leisure and cultural design projects, and includes case studies and building tours. The A-list of guest speakers includes: Thomas Davenport, author, The Attention Economy, Wing Chow FAIA of Walt Disney Imagineering, Walt Geiger of Morris Architects, Dennis Frenchman AIA, professor of Urban Studies at MIT, multi-media designers Linda Batwin and Robin Silvestri of Batwin and Robin, and lighting designer Paul Gregory, principal of Focus Lighting.
