GAM Products Offers Two Seminars at New Orleans USITT

GAM Products, Inc.

is conducting two seminars covering projected effects and color at the USITT Conference in New Orleans on Wednesday, February 13.

Special Effects Lighting - a hands-on seminar that includes demonstrations of a variety of projected effects using patterns, TwinSpin and Film/FX machines, HMI projectors and other devices to create exciting and dynamic visual effects for your productions. This hands-on seminar will be presented by Steve Hoffman and Rebel Luckau and will demonstrate how GAM Products can be economically, effectively, and easily used. You will have an opportunity to see many actual effects, how they are created, and the tools and materials required to do the job. This session will be held on Wednesday, February 13 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the USITT Conference in New Orleans.

Color Theory, The Color of Light and How We Measure It - A two part seminar chaired by Joseph N. Tawil, president of GAM Products, Inc. In the first portion Joe will outline the systems and language we use to measure color. He will explore the use as well as the limitations of the CIE chromaticity chart. The second part of the session, Color Culture, is a panel of four lighting designers that will explore the theory and art of color, it's application, and how they use color in production. This promises to be a freewheeling, open discussion with an opportunity to ask questions. The first session will start Wednesday, February 13 at 4:00 p.m. and the second session with designer panel will follow from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
