Yamaha Corporation of America announces the appointment of Paul Furtkamp as national sales manager of its Commercial Audio Systems Division.
In his new position, Furtkamp is responsible for all divisional sales activities and the implementation of marketing plans throughout the U.S. This is his second tour of duty with Yamaha; from 1986 to 1997, he was a district sales manager for what was then called the Audio Guitar & Synthesizer Division, operating in the southern California and Ohio Valley territories.
"It’s a pleasure to be working for Yamaha in this new position, and I look forward to enhancing the success of the Commercial Audio Systems Division and its products," he says. "Having the opportunity to work with such a valued customer base along with a veteran sales team will be extremely rewarding."
From 1997 until his return to Yamaha this year, he served as Eastern U.S. sales director for JBL Professional.
