Fitch Acquires RPA, National Product Design Firm

Following his return to the global design consultancy that he founded in 1972, Fitch Chairman and CEO Rodney Fitch announced the acquisition of RPA (Retail Planning Associates)—a Retail Experience Agency, based in Columbus, OH.

The newly formed entity, Fitch:RPA, consolidates the heritage and resources of two industry leaders creating an experienced retail and product design firm for the design and branding industry, with an impressive client roster that includes BP, Merrell, SC Johnson, Sprint, and Toys “R” Us.

“Fitch and RPA are true pioneers in the areas of retail and product design with an unsurpassed knowledge of consumer behavior and more than 58 years of combined experience,” said Rodney Fitch. “This acquisition places some of the industry’s best talent, experience, expertise and resources under one roof.”

RPA CEO Todd Cameron will assume the role of President and CEO of Fitch:RPA. “Through Fitch:RPA, we’ve set out to answer the most common questions expressed by our associates, our clients, and the industry at large,” said Mr. Cameron.

Fitch:RPA will be headquartered at the Fitch campus in Columbus, OH. In addition to bolstering a U.S. presence, RPA joins the worldwide Fitch network of over 18 studios in the U.S., Asia, South America and Europe headed by Mr. Fitch as Group Chairman and CEO based in London and CFO Scott Wolfe based in Columbus.
