Dignan Comes, Livingston Goes at Big Apple Lights

Big Apple Lights, the New York City-based lighting equipment supply house, has announced three personnel changes.

Joining the Big Apple staff is Pat Dignan, who will be the company’s newest rental and sales manger. Dignan is a well-known freelance lighting designer whose many credits include dance companies, in the US and Europe, plus Off Broadway and regional theatre productions. Her work has been seen frequently at La Mama and The Kitchen in New York, and other recent theatre productions include Death and the King’s Horseman at Syracuse Stage and This is Our Youth at the Philadelphia Theatre Company.

Jason Livingston has left the firm to join CPR Group, a design company, where he will lead the architectural lighting department. Livingston will continue his involvement in the Big Apple Institute, the series of seminars, discussion, and product demos which are offered free of charge to lighting designers and technicians. (For example, on July 19 and 20, Big Apple is sponsoring a series of two-hour introductions to Vectorworks Spotlight, as well as half-day training sessions on that design program.)

Also joining the Big Apple team is lighting designer Sarah Gersick, as a member of the administrative staff. For more information about the company and the Big Apple Institute, check out its website at www.balny.com.
