Deakins wins ASC Award

DP Roger Deakins won the American Society of Cinematographers Award Sunday night for The Man Who Wasn't There. Deakins, who was nominated for a Best Cinematography Oscar last week his work on the Coen Bros.' black-and-white film noir, previously won the ASC Award for 1994's The Shawshank Redemption.

TV honors in the Century Plaza Hotel ceremony went to Thomas A. Del Ruth, also winning his second ASC Award for the NBC series The West Wing; Denis Lenoir, for the NBC
