Cowan Connects As President Of Neutrik USA

Lakewood, NJ-based Neutrik USA has promoted James Cowan to president. Cowan’s background includes sales for Texas Instruments and Panduit Corp., management positions with Dialight-Kulka-Smith, and four years as Neutrik USA’s general manager and 10 years as vice president.

“I am very honored by this appointment,” says Cowan, who, in 1987, opened the doors of Neutrik USA as its only employee. “It is gratifying that my efforts have been recognized in this way.”

Cowan’s primary responsibilities will include sales, budgets, marketing and support of products for North, Central, and South America. “We are very proud to have Jim in charge of our US operations and have full confidence in his abilities to continue Neutrik’s commitment to excellence,” says Werner Bachman, CEO of Neutrik AG, from the head office in Liechtenstein, Europe.

Regarding trends in the live sound, contracting, lighting, and broadcast industries, Cowan sees with the application of data lines a real need for a rugged RJ45 connection system. “We have just released the EtherCon to meet the needs of our clients in those industries,” he says.

Cowan received both his Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Economics and a master's Degree in marketing from Monmouth University in New Jersey. Look for Neutrik on the web at www.neutrik.com.
