Consultant Adam Shalleck Opens Own Firm

Veteran theatre consultant Adam Shalleck, AIA, has announced the formation of The Shalleck Collaborative, Inc., offering consulting services in the planning and design of spaces for the performing arts and production systems.

A graduate of Virginia Tech, Shalleck joined S. Leonard Auerbach & Associates in 1990 and became a principal in 1995. One of his most recent projects was the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts project at UC Davis.

According to Shalleck, the firm's approach will focus on the “architectural design, technical operation and what it takes for audiences to have rich and captivating experiences, what it takes to inspire and support artists and theatre makers, what it takes to maintain financial viability for the project and the working facility, and what it takes to design and build successful theatres.” Services are provided to architects, municipalities, professional organizations and educational institutions.

After having opened its doors officially on September 9, 2003, the Shalleck Collaborative has several projects on the boards. The firm’s new website was launched November 17 and can be seen at www.shalleck.com.
