The tranquillity of Switzerland meets the versatility of a theatrical summit involving companies from the world over in the Winterthur Theatre, site of their 250 theatrical events every year. The theatre’s lighting director, recently had the theatre outfitted with 50 Clay Paky CP Color 150-E colour changers. Products were supplied by Claudio Merlo’s ECM, distributor of Clay Paky products in Switzerland.
The majority of the products were installed overhead in the large hall adjacent to the main auditorium. This area is generally reserved to the public for conversation or an aperitif, and often accompanied by background music. The theatre frequently hosts conventions, parties, meetings or other gatherings in this area. The CP Colors operate on DMX control, creating a harmonious atmosphere and surrounding the participants in gradual color variations.
More CP Colors were placed behind a white canvas inside the theatre to create dazzling colour scenes, boldly standing out among the theatre’s thousand traditional lights. Ten other CP Colors were positioned outside opposite the façade in order to emphasize its beauty.
