Clay Paky Launches Stage Profile SV

At their joint press conference yesterday at the SIB International trade show in Rimini, Italy, Clay Paky and Pulsar launched several new products. The one certain to be the most talked about is the Stage Profile Plus SV, the latest addition/refinement to the Clay Paky Stage Line of automated lighting units.

The Stage Profile Plus SV is a 1,200W professional moving-body beam shaper. Its most provocative feature is its patented profile system, based on a group of four moving blades controlled from the lighting desk. The combined movement of the blades allows for a startling number of framing effects, including dropping curtains, wipes, quadilaterals, triangles, and many others. Also, one can rotate the effects at a 90º angle.

Other features include two rotating gobo wheels that can be superimposed for a morphing effect, linear zoom, electronic focusing, linear variation frost, three prisms, CMY color-mixing, CTO/CTB iris, dimmer on a single channel, and stop/strobe.

Other new products include the CP Color 575, Color Wave, and V.I.P. 1200, plus the ChromaPanel, the latest addition to Pulsar's ChromaRange of LED units. You can read about them all in the next issue of Lighting Dimensions.
