Both Chicago and Gangs of New York received multiple recognition when this year’s Academy Award nominations were announced this morning. The films were nominated for art direction, costumes, and cinematography. Other films to receive attention were Julie Taymor’s Frida and Roman Polanski’s The Pianist.
