Carpanini Named President of JBL Professional

The Harman Pro Group announced that John Carpanini has been promoted to president from executive vice president of JBL Professional.

“As executive vice president of JBL Professional, John has been responsible for generating significant and unprecedented growth in virtually every product line and every market served,” says Mark Terry, president, Harman Pro Group. “What’s more, as a long-term Harman Pro Group senior executive, John has contributed greatly to the development of sales, marketing, and management programs that have helped to make other Group companies the market leaders they are today. He has proven that he has the experience, the commitment, and the talent to help chart the future of JBL Professional as President.”

Carpanini’s promotion caps a long career at the Harman Pro Group. Before becoming executive vice president of JBL Professional in January 2003, Carpanini served from February 2001 until December 2002 as president of Harman’s Soundcraft Group. From November 1998 until January 2001, he held the position of vice president of sales at JBL Professional. From July 1995 through October 1998, he served as worldwide distribution director for the entire Harman Pro Group, managing all distribution programs for Harman in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, as well as Harman Pro North America in Nashville, TN.
