Carbonell Award Nominations Announced

The best of the South Florida theatre season will be celebrated Nov. 19 at the 26th Annual Carbonell Awards, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.

Florida Stage and The Actors' Playhouse lead nominees with 22 nominations each. The yearly celebration is presented by the center, the South Florida Critics Circle and the Theatre League of South Florida. Nominations for South Florida's 2003-2004 theatre year (which ended Labor Day) were announced Sept. 18 and the nominees in the design categories are:
