BML-Blackbird Theatrical Services is pleased to announce the addition of Christopher Ragan to its sales department. Ragan will be concentrating on developing sales in the touring and broadcast markets. His extensive knowledge, experience, and ingenuity are well known and respected throughout the industry. With 15+ years of lighting design, set design, and production management experience, Ragan is an exciting addition to BML-Blackbird’s expanding sales department.
Since receiving a MFA in set design, lighting design and color theory from Syracuse University, Ragan has worked with clientele ranging from renowned artists to worldwide corporations. His extensive touring experience includes artists such as Moe, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Ben Folds, The Strokes, Gov’t Mule, and Phil Lesh and Friends just to name a few. Corporate experience includes design, direction, and coordination for high-end Apple, Verizon, T-Mobie, Rolling Stone, and Hennessy Artistry events.
Ragan is also credited as lighting designer and director for numerous festivals including Smokin’ Grooves, Gathering of the Vides, Rebuild New Orleans Voodoo Music Festival, and The Further. This diverse background will make him an invaluable member of the BML-Blackbird team.
