, which designs and develops solutions for large screen visualization and display solutions for professional markets, provided all LED technology used at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) show, Approximately 3,510 tiles of Barco’s popular indoor LED display products and 19,000 tiles of its innovative MiPix LED blocks were used at the Expo, in the Los Angeles Convention Center,last month. The Barco LED solutions impressed over 400+ exhibitors and a sell-out attendee crowd of 65,000 industry professionals.
The new Ilite and the award-winning MiPix were featured Barco products in the displays. The Ilite is an intelligent LED-based display solution for the video and graphics world. The system offers extremely wide viewing angles and high resolution images. Barco’s ILite comes with a built-in PC, which not only allows the system to configure itself in whatever shape and size, but also enables continuous performance during maintenance or service.
MiPIX is Barco's new modular intelligent LED pixel block, which measures only 4cm by 4cm. A revolution in the LED market, its small size and shape allow for it to be used to create intelligent lighting effects on large-scale backdrops of any form, shape or size, while also offering the possibility of full video content on 3D logos or other free-form shapes. The MiPIX blocks further facilitate the construction of large-scale backdrops because they can be spaced apart at various distances. In addition to it’s the MiPix displays and its indoor ILite 6mm and 10mm products, Barco’s DLP‰ projection products and its new flat-panel LCD displays impressed show attendees.
