Autograph Supplies Meyer to New London Arts Centre

UK professional audio distributor Autograph Sales has supplied a complete Meyer Sound system to the new Arts Depot at Tally Ho Corner in North London. The complex incorporates two theatres, education, gallery and exhibition spaces, shops, offices, flats, and a health and fitness center.

The £45 million development, which opens at the end of October 2004, will play host to a number of productions in its £13 million theatre. One of the first plays will be The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, where all 37 plays are performed in a unique and comical style - in 97 minutes! The center will celebrate its first Christmas with a production of one of the world’s most famous children’s stories, Pinocchio. RK Sound Engineering carried out the sound and communications installation in the 400-seat Pentland Theatre, with an extensive range of Meyer Sound loudspeakers, including the UPM-1P, UPA-2P, UMS-1P and CQ-1. Meanwhile the 150-seat Studio Theatre uses CQ-1s and UPM-1Ps.

Chris Baldwin of ACT Consultant Services specified the Meyer Sound loudspeakers for the Arts Depot and recommended Autograph Sales to supply the equipment. "After using Meyer Sound loudspeakers for a number of years, I had no hesitation in specifying them for this project," says Baldwin. "Going to Autograph Sales was the natural choice because of their years of experience and association with Meyer Sound."
