Art Directors Salute Brenner

Production designer Albert Brenner will receive the Art Directors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award in February 2003, during the organization's seventh annual awards ceremony. Brenner, a five-time Oscar nominee for the movies The Sunshine Boys, The Turning Point, California Suite, 2010, and Beaches, started out in the 1950s as an art director on The Phil Silvers Show. His other film credits include Luv, Summer of '42, Silent Movie, The Goodbye Girl, and Pretty Woman. He also designed Paramount Studios' backlot New York street.

Past recipients of the Art Directors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award are Ken Adam, Jan Scott, Richard Sylbert, Robert Boyle, Henry Bumstead, and Harold Michelson.
