Applications Now Being Accepted for ILDA Awards

Applications are now being accepted for the 2003 International Illumination Design Awards (ILDA), sponsored by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).

Among the ILDA Awards are The Edwin F. Guth Memorial Award for Interior Lighting design; The Paul Waterbury Award for Outdoor Lighting; and The Aileeen Page Cutler Memorial Award for Residential Lighting Design.

Other award categories include the Award of Distinction for extraordinary achievement in lighting design; the Award of Excellence for an exceptional contribution to the art and science of lighting design; the Special Citation, which recognizes superior elements of an outstanding lighting design or, in some instances, and the use of lighting as an art form. In addition, awards of merit are given in recognition of meritorious contribution to lighting design; section awards acknowledge commendable achievement in lighting design at the local level, and a certificate of participation is presented at the section level in appreciation of all entrants.

Entries must be made at the section level by January 24, 2003. The awards will be given out on August 5, 2003 at the IESNA Annual Conference in Chicago, IL.
