Ampetronics Strengthens Management Team

UK-based induction loop specialist, Ampetronic, has announced two new appointments within the company to accommodate the increasing demand for induction loop systems in new and challenging environments. Julian Pieters assumes the position of managing director, with Ken Hollands becoming commercial director. Ampetronic’s founder, Leon Pieters, takes on the role of technical director.

Julian Pieters joins Ampetronic from Cambridge Consultants, one of the foremost consultancies delivering turn-key product and technology development programs. His management experience there, plus an INSEAD MBA, makes him ideally suited for his new role.

Hollands, meanwhile, has a strong technical background and extensive international sales and marketing experience within the advanced technology and communications industries, working for companies such as Marconi and JDS Uniphase. During his career, he has successfully developed strong customer relationships, managed fast-track new product development and achieved significant business growth in new and global markets whilst managing multi-disciplinary teams.

Leon Pieters will use his 20 years experience of innovation at the forefront of induction loop technology to focus on new product development, underpinning Ampetronic’s next phase of growth. “We’re delighted to have the addition of two people with such excellent credentials and demonstrable commercial acumen,” he says. “I am confident that with their team spirited attitude to success, all at Ampetronic will benefit from their contributions.”

“This is a very exciting time for Ampetronic,” adds Julian Pieters. “There is a general raising of awareness of the quality of access that needs to be provided for the disabled, and includes the issues surrounding hearing disability, which is generally a hidden problem. This is due to social change and, to varying degrees, legislation. In many areas of the world, there is an aging population, and that means that there is an increase in demand for products such as ours, so we’ve chosen to bring in new people to meet the growth we foresee.”

“We’re also looking at new markets,” continues Hollands. “We’re leaders in induction loop technology and we want the rest of the world to benefit from Ampetronic’s experience. Leon provides the company with a strong technical steer and we want to continue with the education he provides for this industry and beyond.”

“The new company structure is set to drive our innovation into new markets,” concludes Leon Pieters. “We shouldn’t under estimate the difference that our products can make to people’s lives. It’s vitally important to us that we make sure the end experience is good and that our systems are of real benefit, rather than just a matter of compliance to legislation.”
