In the first of a string of announcements, A.C. Lighting Inc. has announced a complete redesign and restructuring of its website and web policy. The company will take the site under its own direct and local control, making it more responsive and reflective of the changes in products and services. According to CEO Bob Gordon, the company analyzed what its customers wanted and designed the website around that. WhiteHorse Enterprises, an Internet/Intranet development company in Malibu, CA, essentially designed the new site from scratch. The redesign and restructuring is the first phase in a four-phase plan of improvements to A.C. Lighting Inc.’s web presence. The site is located at www.aclighting.com. The company has also been holding a series of product workshops that are being run in several cities across the US. At Impact Lighting in San Francisco, three days of workshops were held on the grandMA console from MA Lighting. The workshops utilized Impact’s own two grandMA light consoles, as well as another grandMA Light and a full-blown grandMA provided by A.C. In Huntsville, AL, Theatrical Lighting Services hosted a mixture of demonstrations and training sessions on the Fat Frog from Zero 88 and the grandMA. In Nashville, Bandit Lites held a two-day interactive workshop on the grandMA Console from MA Lighting, the Chroma Q scroller range, the Pacific fixture from Selecon, and the Fat Frog console from Zero 88. A.C. Lighting also recently hired Joe Cabrera, who spent last summer as an intern at A.C. the firm in Los Angeles. Cabrera will be working with Mario Collazo and Mike Falconer on technical support and training for a variety of products, such as the grandMA range, Zero 88, and Jands lighting control consoles. Cabrera graduated from the Florida State University School of Theatre with a bachelor’s degree.
