Jules Fisher: BLMC Creative Consultant

Winner of eight Tony Awards, a record number in the lighting category, Jules Fisher has been creative consultant for the Broadway Lighting Master Classes since their inception 18 years ago. He has designed lighting for more than 150 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, spanning five decades (his first Broadway credit was Spoon River Anthology in 1963.. check out his long list of accomplishments at IBDB).

Fisher's thoughts about the BLMC ring true from year to year: "I invite you to consider this year's BLMC if you are interested in an in-depth investigation of lighting design as practiced by some of the best practitioners of today," he says. "Each of our speakers will prepare a challenging talk or presentation to share with you the fruits of our passionate involvement with our art.” Fisher heads a faculty of the top designers lighting the Great White Way today.

The BLMC will be held May 22-24, with classes on May 22 & 23 at the Baryshnikov Arts Center and on May 24 at Sardi's, the legendary Broadway restaurant, with a closing luncheon and two in-depth sessions on the lighting for the Broadway show selected for the BLMC this year.

Register by February 17 and take advantage of the low "confidence rates," and make the Live Design Broadway Master Classes the most exciting thing you do this spring.
