2011 Broadway Master Classes Dates Announced

The Live Design Broadway Master Classes bring their acclaimed brand of professional training in sound, lighting, and projection to New York City, May 21-26, 2011. Legendary sound designer Abe Jacob and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Jules Fisher are once again onboard as the creative consultants for the BSMC and BLMC respectively.

The dates for the Live Design Broadway Master Classes are as follows:

Broadway Sound Master Classes (BSMC): Friday evening May 20 (Broadway show), Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22

Broadway Projection Master Classes (BPMC): Monday, May 23

Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC): Tuesday-Thursday, May 24-26

The Broadway Master Classes include tickets to one or more Broadway shows (depending on the registration package selected) followed by Q&A discussions in the theatre and an in-depth critique of the design as part of the classes. In addition, leading manufacturers of entertainment technology will participate in the annual manufacturers showcases, offering attendees the opportunity to see the latest in cutting-edge entertainment technology.

The BSMC and BPMC will be held at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts at 721 Broadway, NYC, while the BLMC will be held at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts on Washington Square South.

Prices for the Live Design Master Classes are in three categories: Professional; Association/Union; and Student.
