BLMC: Jeff Croiter To Speak on Next Generation Panel

Tony Award-winner for his outstanding work on Peter and the Starcatcher, Jeff Croiter is a lighting designer with over 20-years experience working on Broadway, off-Broadway, dance, opera, special event, regional theatre and touring productions. Recent projects include Mothers and Sons, A Time to Kill, Soul Doctor, Peter and the Starcatcher, Newsies, Jekyll and Hyde, Love's Labors Lost for Shakespeare in the Park and co-producing the web comedy Submissions Only

Croiter returns to the BLMC on a panel featuring “The Next Generation,” with fellow designers Mark Barton, Japhy Weideman, and David Weiner, as they discuss the challenges unique to designing on Broadway today. Moderator: Jules Fisher.

A Time To Kill is a courtroom drama based on a novel by John Grisham the incendiary story of a Southern community torn in half by an unspeakable crime. As the shocking news hits the public, small town America becomes the center of a media storm, where innocence is the victim, race is on trial and lives hang in the balance. The Hollywood reporter noted: “Jeff Croiter’s textured lighting, lending a cinematic fluidity to the scene transitions.”
