11:15am -12:30pm: Donald Holder: The LED Revolution—Looking Forward: An objective look at the pros and cons of LED fixtures versus traditional sources, and how the use of LED's can affect perception and the overall intention of a design. Leading Broadway production electrician Randy Zeibak (who worked with Holder on Spider-Man and Promises, Promises) will also provide insight into how the explosion of LED technology in the theatre is affecting the planning, installation and maintenance of Broadway lighting rigs.

 2:30-4:00pm: Scenic Designers Panel Discussion: A Look At Light: Santo Loquasto, Donyale Werle, David Korins, Andrew Lieberman. Moderator: Jules Fisher

4:15-5:45pm: Beverly Emmons: Languages of Color…Shedding Light On A Colorful Subject: Helping designers let go of unconscious fears of color, this session focuses on a deeper understanding of the dominant (and recessive) wavelengths underlying the choices you make. Use color with more confidence, learn to recognize color palette "issues" and acquire the tools to dynamically find color solutions before and during the cueing process.

6-7:30pm: Cocktail reception and presentation of Live Design Lighting Products Of The Year Awards

9am-10:30am: Brian MacDevitt: Death Of A Salesman: Then and Now: Brian MacDevitt shares and investigates the production records from the original 1949 Broadway production, scenery and lighting designed by Jo Mielziner. On stage he will recreate some scenes from the original, and then compare them with his process on the recent 2012 Broadway production on the original set directed by Mike Nichols and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman.

 10:45am-12:15pm: New Designer Panel Discussion: Jeff Croiter, Jason Lyons, Jane Cox, Justin Townsend. Moderator, Jules Fisher

12:15- 2pm: Lunch/Manufacturers Showcase

2 3:30pm: Robert Wierzel: Music, Light, and Movement: An initial process in non-verbal communication. A discussion of what it means to give light significance in context?  How does one create visual vocabulary?  And by extension, what light can and cannot communicate. Plus the challenge & rewards of the projected image.

3:30-3:45: Break

3:45-5:15pm: Wendall K. Harrington: Dancing in the Dark—Projections for Lighting Designers: Wendall K. Harrington speaks on the collaboration of lighting and projection designers, giving pithy advice and sharing useful knowledge on how to create stage pictures combining lighting and projection.
