Lighting designer Mike Baldassari and set designer David Gallo have collaborated on a second European production of Beauty and The Beast, this time in Germany; the first opened to raves in Holland. He will be responsible for project management for a myriad of lighting events, including corporate, theatrical, television, and live shows…Michael Bottari and Ronald Case are doing the sets and costumes for Fanny Hill, a new off-Broadway musical opening in February…Dawn Chiang is lighting two regional shows: Crowns, for Arizona Theatre Company, which will travel to Portland Center Stage and Actors Theater of Louisville, as well as Steven Dietz' new play, Sherlock Holmes, The Final Adventure for Milwaukee Rep…Broadway will go back to the 80s in April, when a musical version of the Adam Sandler movie The Wedding Singer opens. Bringing the Reagan era to life will be Scott Pask (scenic designer) and Brian MacDevitt (lighting designer)…Jennifer Tankleff has been promoted to vice president for operations at I. Weiss, while Andrea Dohar has been promoted to head of installation…Designs of productions staged since June 2002 are being sought as part of USITT's initial preparation for US theatre design exhibits for the Prague Quadrennial 2007 (PQ). The National Exhibit, designed by Nic Ularu and Madeleine Sobota, will feature production designs from US theatres. Set, costume, lighting, and sound designers are invited to submit work to be considered for the exhibit via the web.
