Super Vision International, Inc. has announced that Advanced Lighting Systems, Inc. (ASLI) has signed a license to Super Vision's “Variable Color Lighting System” 1990 patent developed in 1988 by Richard Belliveau of High End Systems. The ANSI Board of Standards Review approved “Entertainment Technology - USITT DMX512-A - Asynchronous Serial Digital Data Transmission Standard for Controlling Lighting Equipment and Accessories.” ANSI E1.11-2004 requires termination, states where termination should be, and gives the proper termination impedance value. Two current standards-drafting projects, BSR E1.20 (RDM) and BSR E1.27-1 (E1.11 and DMX512 portable cabling), are available for public review now at www.esta.org.
