Scharff Rejoins Scharff Weisberg

Peter Scharff is coming home. The co-founder of New York-based presentation and staging company Scharff Weisberg, who most recently served as president of Dataton North America, is returning to assume the role of director of sales. In his new role, he will focus on the high-end AV installation, staging, and show control markets.

"Our company and our industry have grown quite a bit in the past few years," explains Josh Weisberg, president and other principal of the company. "We've just completed a couple of huge multimedia/AV installations and see great potential for additional similar opportunities. We don't anticipate these opportunities falling in our lap, and realize that getting work like this requires more than a typical salesperson. We need someone who thoroughly understands our business and industry, and more importantly, someone who has the authority to speak for the company. Peter has that unique combination of technical understanding and people skills and I'm looking forward to the benefits he'll bring us in this role."

Scharff spent the last several years as president of Dataton North America, the North American distributor of the Swedish-based show control software/ hardware manufacturer. "Dataton's a great product," he says. "Scharff Weisberg has been and will probably continue to be the largest dealer and user of the system, and I will continue to be its biggest proponent."
