Robe US Restructures

Robe Show Lighting's US operation has undergone a radical restructuring with Michael Carattini appointed as president, and a new headquarters and warehouse in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Tony Perez has also been appointed as Eastern US Sales Manager.

The existing west coast office and warehouse continues under the direction of Ron Ramirez, VP of Robe America and director of Western US Operations. Both east and west coast offices will carry comprehensive product stocks and run full service and support departments.

Robe Show Lighting's managing director Josef Valchar states, “The changes enable Robe America to offer the very best and most efficient sales and after-sales service for the Robe brand across the US. Having bases on both East and West Coasts is vital to consolidating our resources and operation, and to support our growing client base in all areas of the entertainment and leisure industries.”

Valchar adds that logistics of delivery and communication will be greatly enhanced with the Florida base. The six-hour time difference equals more flexible communication opportunities with the Czech Republic and reduced stock delivery times into the US. This, coupled with greater access for east coast business, will all add to Robe's overall service capabilities.

Carattini has held key sales and marketing positions with lighting companies in Italy and North America. Carattini's previous posts include assistant director of marketing for the Coemar factory in Castel Goffredo, Italy; director of product sales and marketing with the Obie Company; VP of Star-Lite Global; and national director of sales for Coemar USA.

Perez has over 12 years industry experience, in theatres, clubs, and production-based lighting companies as a programmer, designer and installer. His background includes positions as audio visual manager with Celebrity and Carnival Cruise lines, lighting designer and technical director at Club Crobar, lighting director with Billboard Live, and most recently, sales manager with Coemar USA.
