As we go to press, I have learned of the recent passing of our 2002 Wally Russell Lifetime Achievement recipient, Jimmy C. Fuller, who was a good friend and inspiration to many throughout the North American theatre community. As the Wally Russell Award honors excellence and leadership in theatre, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge this year's eight EDDY Award designer winners as well as Theatre Projects Consultants, celebrating its 45th anniversary, being honored on June 27 here in New York. Congratulations also to the 15 EDDY product winners responsible for some of the latest lighting, sound, and staging tools for theatre. The EDDYs are part of our five-day Broadway Lighting & Sound Master Classes, June 25-29, chaired by Jules Fisher and Abe Jacob, made possible in part thanks to the many corporate sponsors (see page 31) along with the entire Entertainment Design and Lighting Dimensions team who worked tirelessly to produce this important conference and industry celebration.
