PRG Restructures Lighting, Audio

In an organizational restructuring, Production Research Group LLC (PRG) has combined its PRG Lighting Group and Audio Group into a single operating unit known now as the Lighting/Audio Group. The two divisions will continue to be branded separately in their individual markets, but will be managed by a single group of senior PRG management.

As part of the new organizational structure, which the company says creates an operation better suited to meet the changing needs of its customers and the changing competitive environment in the entertainment lighting and audio industries, Don Knezovic will serve as the chief operating officer of the Lighting/Audio Group. Steve Terry will be president of Lighting Systems; Nick Jackson continues as president of Light and Sound Design (LSD); and Jeff Senkovich has been promoted to a new position, as vice president of Lighting/Audio. The general managers of Vanco, Cinema Services Production Lighting Systems, and East Coast and West Coast audio operations will all report to Senkovich.

In addition, Don Stern, chairman of the Lighting/Audio Group, is assuming responsibility for Production Arts rental, sales, and operations. PRG has also created a national sales organization consisting of five geographic regions, along with a national sales function targeting specific market segments. and consolidated all national and regional sales responsibility for the group under senior vice president of sales Bill Gallinghouse.

In a press release, the company stated that this new organizational structure will enable PRG to "realize the combined value and strength that exists in the individual businesses of which the group is comprised, and to better match the talents of PRG managers to the needs of the business and clients within those businesses."
