PRG adds BASH to roster

North Bergen, NJ-based BASH Theatrical Lighting has joined Production Resource Group (PRG). All entertainment lighting concerns of the BASH organization (which includes not only the NJ location but its operations in Baltimore, Orlando, and Las Vegas) and of PRG have been centralized.

Don Stern, president and CEO of BASH, has been named president and COO of a newly formed PRG lighting division, which will be based in North Bergen, NJ. Robert Cannon, BASH's executive vice president and CFO, has been named CFO of this division.

A statement from PRG read, "Though in the past both companies have been successful competitors, PRG and BASH realized if they combined efforts, each company would be able to fulfill their clients' increasingly sophisticated needs in ways not possible as singular entities. The expanded inventory and service capabilities created by this merger will result in a variety of economic efficiencies to be more competitive, allowing both companies to more effectively service their clients and provide a more significant inventory of products."

Says PRG founder and CEO Jere Harris, "With this merger of talents, PRG continues its unyielding commitment to quality and performance on behalf of our clients. We are excited at the prospect of bringing the management expertise of the entire BASH organization into the PRG family of companies." PRG companies, including Vanco Lighting Services and Cinema Services, provide design integration, production, and project management in a number of areas, including theatrical productions, theme park attractions, and trade shows.
