New Staff for New DPA US Venture

DPA Microphones Inc., the newly established sales and distribution office for DPA products in North America, has named Bruce Myers president and Chris Walsh product manager.

Myers heads the new company that is responsible for sale, marketing, technical support, and customer service in North America, headquartered in Lyons, CO. A 30-year veteran of the pro audio industry, Myers was most recently general manager of field operations for Tannoy North America. Prior to that, he enjoyed a long career at Bose Corporation in the professional division. “We intend to realize the full growth potential of our high-resolution products through increased market exposure and by putting the customer first,” says Myers.

Walsh comes to DPA from Tannoy North America, where he held the position of sales manager for DPA Microphones as well as for Tannoy studio products. Before joining Tannoy, Walsh spent six years at Martinsound, Inc. as vice president of sales and marketing. He is based in Alta Loma, CA. “We're very pleased that Chris is part of the new DPA team,” says Myers. “His knowledge of the product line and his contacts in the studio market, both music recording and film/post/video, make him the obvious first choice for the job.”

DPA's new North American office opened for business on March 1, 2003. Previously, DPA had been represented by Tannoy North America in Kitchener, Ontario, which has been sole distributor of the product for the past 10 years.
