In Memoriam: John Gleason

Lighting designer and educator John Gleason died on October 28. He was 62. A native New Yorker, Gleason was drawn to lighting in his student days at Stuyvesant High School. At Hunter College he lit 75 shows, while majoring in zoology and chemistry; he passed the USA exam while still a junior at Hunter.
