A look at Current Events

Current Events International (CEI), which recently purchased Proformance Lighting and Sound of San Francisco, has announced some staff changes there and at its other US offices.

Mickey Morgan, the former co-owner of Proformance, has been appointed vice president of audio for what is now CEI's San Francisco facility. Morgan, a 23-year veteran of the technical production field, plans to "direct the audio department into new territories and down new avenues of business." Former Proformance co-owner Tom Naso has been named vice president of technical services for CEI San Francisco, and plans to "focus more attention on lighting."

John Fisher, who had been an account executive at the Washington, DC, office of CEI, has been named general manager of the San Francisco office. "This is a unique opportunity for CEI in making our commitment to customers and technology known from coast to coast," he says.

CEI has also appointed two new account representatives. A. Blayne Candy is working from the Washington office. And Troy Dockery, formerly the southeast regional sales manager of Martin Professional, has been hired as an account executive for CEI's Atlanta office. The firm has also opened a website, at www.cevents.com.
