Live Design Broadway Master Classes Shows Announced

Top names in lighting, sound, and projection design are on tap for the BLMC (May 20-22 at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts), the BSMC (May 16-18 at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts), and the Projection Master Classes (May 19 at XL LED Lab in SoHo, NYC). Lighting designer Jules Fisher and sound designer Abe Jacob are returning as creative consultants for the critically-acclaimed Broadway Lighting and Broadway Sound Master Classes. “Once again, Abe and Jules have managed to pull together the top designers on Broadway for the Master Classes,” says David Johnson, Live Design's associate publisher and editorial director. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that no aspiring designer should miss.”

BLMC attendees will see the hot new Broadway musical, Passing Strange, with lighting by Kevin Adams on May 21, and on May 16, the BSMC kicks off at a performance of Young Frankenstein, with sound design by Jonathan Deans. Q&As in the theatre will take place after each show, and the designers will discuss their design choices during the Master Classes.
