The Gilbert V. Hemsley Jr. Internship in Lighting is now accepting applications for the 16th annual internship program. Applications will be received through February 28. Interviews for finalists will be held in New York in early April. Candidates should submit a resume, a one-page statement of personal goals and anticipated benefits of the internship, and three letters of recommendation.
The selected intern will begin in mid-August with the start of the New York City Opera fall season. In mid-November the intern will continue the experience at the New York City Ballet until the end of February 2000. During the five-week run of The Nutcracker, additional outside opportunities will be coordinated.
