IIR Exhibitions and its joint partners, China Theatrical Equipment Association (CTEA) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-Council (CCPIT), has announced the postponement of CALM Expo 2003. CALM Expo is a major annual industry event for China's professional sound, light, and music industry. Previously scheduled for May 16-19, 2003, at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing, the new show dates will be made available soon.
The decision to reschedule the exhibition was made following consultation with exhibitors in light of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak in China, says Rosalind Ng-Seah, deputy managing director of IIR Exhibitions. “The attendees' health and safety is of utmost concern; therefore, we have decided to postpone the event to a later date,” Ng-Seah says.
