Asia adventuring for trade show travelers

If you're focused on the Asia-Pacific market this trade show season, your first port of call is Entech, which takes place this year in Melbourne, Australia, April 23-25. One hundred exhibitors are projected to be on hand with the latest products in entertainment technology.

Seminars will cover several different areas: A corporate A/V track will be presented by the Federation of Communication Users and Suppliers (FOCUS); other tracks include pro audio, lighting, and stage. This year there will also be special one-day conferences on digital versatile disk (DVD) technology, technical training, and a retailer forum.

Entech is organized by Connections Publishing Pty Ltd. For more information, call 61/2/9876-3530 or fax 61/2/9876-5715. The website is www.conpub.com.au and the e-mail address is [email protected].

Then jet off to PALM (Pro Audio, Light & Music China), which takes place at the China World Trade Centre in Beijing, May 15-17. Those wishing to enter the ever-more-lucrative China market will want to drop in on this show. Exhibitors will include manufacturers and distributors of equipment for professional recording, sound reinforcement, live sound, disco lighting, theatrical lighting, lasers, and special effects for Asia's entertainment-related industries.

PALM is becoming more of an international event. Previous exhibitors have come from Europe and North America as well as Asia.

For more information about PALM, call the Singapore office at 65/227-0688 or fax 65/227-0913.
